Effect of Jobelyn on Chest Pain and Sudden Death Print E-mail

At the workshop organized by the Association of General & Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN) on October 23  & 24, 2008  in Lagos, Nigeria on the theme “CHEST PAIN AND SUDDEN DEATH”,  Dr. David Abia-Okon made a PowerPoint Presentation in which he submitted that Jobelyn suppressed the release of Interleukin-6, a cytokine that triggers the production of C-reactive protein in laboratory experiment and that CRP is a far more accurate predictor of heart-attack risk than either cholesterol or homocysteine.
